I think that even with the limitations of the shamanlass, it is still very fun to play. I leveled to 66 as enhaement and the melee dps is on par with rogues, but with more armor. Swihing to resto made the grind painful, but I really enjoy healing
in groups. hain heal is sh a great heal, and even with myrap gear my healrits arelose to 6000. I oe did a mana tombs run with three shaman...me (resto), an enhaement, and an elemental. We had a pally tank and a mage with us. The whole
instae only took 35 minutes bause of the massive dps. Sure we don't have anyC, but we bring other benefits to the groupraid.
In the past week ive seen 5 differnt times people asking for DPS shaman for Kara, Gruul's. Thats the point. Ele shamanan pump out large numbers
on boss fights espially, and on trash they do pretty good whain lightining and added buffs.
I feel that some of the people who are ing are referring more to PvP than to PvE. The only time I may have even a little bit of trouble getting a group is if its a hero and there is noC in the party yet and they are looking for one more. There is no denying you have to have at least 1Class in a hero or else it is going to be harder than it should be. I
find spots in Kara groups without any problems, whh is as far as I have progressed. I never had problems with reg 5-mans either sie lk ofC isnt as big of a deal. Now PvPan get frustrating sometimes. In the smaller ones (WSG,AB,EOTS) peoplean pk you out easier and you will almost always have at least one rogue on you. The sad thing is youant blame them, the ability to do huge burst damage and heal your party is too mh to just let you sit in the bk and do what you do. In AV Ele Shammy shine. Its a lot easier sie its a PvPPvEombo and there are more people so its harder to pk you out. If we had some way of getting out ofC it would help quite a bit there is no denying that.
I have never done Arena and dont like PvP enough to find out what its like there but this is really where the Shammy seem to have their problems. So if you are going to do 5-mans, Heros, Raids, BGs then level your toon to 70
